Arachnology Library

The departmental spider library is a major resource, both for departmental researchers and the araneological community. The library currently consists of over 10,000 reprints and books, ranging from the 1800's into the present, and including many papers published in generally unavailable foreign journals. The library includes almost complete holdings of the works of major American arachnologists, including Banks, Bryant, Chamberlin, Chickering, Emerton, Hentz and The Peckhams, as well as large holdings of Simon, O.P.- Cambridge, and F.O.P.-Cambridge. Current arachnology is also represented. Access to the library is available to researchers and students. The entire spider library is catalogued and continuously updated.Affiliation: Department of Invertebrate Zoology
